Action alert - please email the House Committee Members (see below for a direct link to email) and tell them to support SB 305 with no amendments from the fossil fuel lobby - we are losing ground to the opposition!
After the successful, but narrow, Senate vote last week I wish I could tell you that the hard part is over, but the fact is that was the easy chamber.
Now we move forward to the House of Representatives where the lobbyists from the utilities, the fossil fuel industry, and the Caesar Rodney Institute are all working to block key votes we need to get this bill passed in 2022.
We need you to email the House Committee Members here and tell them to support SB 305 with no amendments from the fossil fuel lobby.
I spoke with a key supporter in the Legislature today and they informed me that we are losing ground to the opposition.
Members of the committee are being flooded with bogus emails of folks both in and out of Delaware who want to see this bill fail and climate legislation stopped in its tracks. They are demanding ridiculous amendments simply to undermine and gut the bill.
The House committee hearing is scheduled for this Thursday at 1 PM. But we cannot wait till then.
They are counting the opposition's emails and we are being left out, future generations are being left out.
