Diane L. Callaway
Diane is the founder of Life is Delicious, Inc. and Delaware’s annual VegFest in Newark Delaware.
Life is Delicious originated as the result of both of Diane’s parents being diagnosed with degenerative diseases. She can recall them eating their mid-day meals at local restaurants and French cafes, 3-5 days a week for 18 years. They enjoyed exotic meat dishes; ostrich, wide bore, alligator and shellfish, lots of rich creamy desserts and very few fruits or vegetables. When they were diagnosed, doctors never referenced that diet could be a culprit. Some doctors still refuse to make that connection.
Diane began interviewing oncologists, internists, and attended multiple cardiovascular and cancer workshops. Along with her husband, Diane traveled to Chicago twice to consult with staff at an integrative hospital. She was desperate and needed to know. Finally, the results were in: meat, dairy, and eggs, played a pivotal role.
Diane received certification in whole food plant-based nutrition and two additional certificate programs in order to empower herself, her family, and the community. Her platform, Life is Delicious, exists to share scientifically-backed research on how whole foods and simple lifestyle changes can reverse chronic disease and cultivate vitality.
When diet is wrong, medicine is of no use. When diet is correct, medicine is of no need.
